We can move Macomb County forward, together.

To me, public services is not just a job - it’s a calling worthy of a lifetime of effort. I want to do this work. The work of protecting our values, the work of protecting our freedoms, and the work of protecting our families. I’m Christina Hines, Macomb County is my home, and I’m running to be your next prosecutor.

Why I am Running for Macomb County Prosecutor

  1. Leading with Dignity: For too long, the Macomb County Prosecutor has not been the leader he should be. I am running because I know that Macomb County can be a leader in the state in keeping our communities and families safe. This requires bringing dignity, transparency, and integrity back to the Prosecutor’s Office.

  2. Can’t Keep Doing the Same Ol’ Thing: As a career prosecutor and mother of three, I know that we have to rise to the challenge and make our communities safer for our children. We cannot keep doing the same old things when we know they do not work. It does not make our community safe to put people with substance use and mental health issues in jail and prison without a plan for what happens after they are released. We need to do better. We need to focus on common sense solutions to address why people come into the criminal legal system in the first place. When we focus on prevention, rehabilitation, and treatment, then we will be able to make our community safer for our children.

  3. Getting Justice for Victims: As a Special Victim’s Prosecutor, I have tried the toughest of cases and I have fought relentlessly to get justice for adults and children who have been victims of physical and sexual abuse. But I don’t want to just prosecute these crimes - I want to END this violence in our communities. It is time to focus our prosecutorial resources on targeting violent crimes and criminals. When we focus on prosecuting the people who are hurting or taking advantage of our vulnerable populations - and when we work alongside communities to educate citizens and heal our communities - we will make our communities safer for everyone.
